Truffles

TRUFFLES - FRESH, DRIED, FROZEN

In world culture, it is accepted that treasures are hidden underground. It is there that we can find the main gastronomic diamond, the dream of gourmets - the only underground mushroom. Truffle is not a food but a spice. It is valued only for its aroma, which is very difficult to describe.

There are more than 50 varieties of truffles, and some of them do not strike with aroma but with an unpleasant smell or musky aroma. Other varieties are too hard and unsuitable for food. There are only about 10 species hunted by connoisseurs in Europe. The most famous is the white Piedmont truffle, unusually aromatic. You can try this mushroom only from October to January, only in a limited area, and it is impossible to reproduce it. This is why white truffles are the most expensive delicacy in the world.

They are incredibly precious and also used in the fields of medicine, pharmacy, cosmetics and luxurious cuisine. Truffles are rich in vitamins B12, B6 and B2 and full of protein, sulfur, phosphorus, cellulose and other significant elements.

They are often used for their healing potential. Consuming the product can lead to many benefits:

    • lower cholesterol;
    • better function of the nerve and muscle tissue;
    • better blood circulation;
    • sight improvement;
    • regenerating the skin, nails and hair growth;
    • improvement of the heart functioning;
    • full detoxification;
    • suitable for people fighting diabetes;
    • provides amino acids;
    • helps fight the lack of iron during anaemia.

In addition to everything mentioned above, truffles have a very long-lasting and specific aroma and taste. They could easily turn any dish into a masterpiece.
